HOW WE WORK

Moving Image is what is known as a "reportage" video company. This means that we gather footage of the day as it happens. We act discretely and try and stay out of the way as much as possible.

Naturally, we film all parts of the day (including preparations if requested) and will happily film set-ups that may be requested by the bride or groom. Otherwise it is our aim to be unobtrusive.

During the ceremony we avoid standing too close to proceedings and use static cameras (mounted on tripods) where possible to avoid having to move around the church or venue.

Please note the following:

1. We only use radio microphones when absolutely necessary - we generally consider these too obtrusive (they pick up every whisper from the wearer - and during the service we believe the bride and groom should enjoy those moments between themselves). Further we record excellent sound using discrete broadcast microphones. All microphones are Senheizer 416’s (the broadcast industry standard).

2. We try not to be seen during the service.

3. We use no artificial lights. These only tend to make people nervous.

4. We only take the bride and groom off for special shots if requested.

5. All master tapes are available to the client.

6. For celebrity weddings if the wedding is subject to a magazine shoot, we are happy to hand over all original tapes to the magazine if required by their contract. We have worked on a number weddings covered by the major magazine companies, including OK and Hello.

7. Privacy and confidentiality agreements together with copyright assignments are available on request. We retain the services of as leading media law firm to draft any requested legal documentation concerning the recording of your wedding.
